Wire Winding
To begin with, individual steel wires are accurately wound to form uniform coils, ensuring consistent thickness & strength. Strict attention to detail in this foundational step sets the quality benchmark for the entire wire rope.
Wire Stranding
At this stage, multiple steel wires are carefully twisted together to form strands. This enhances strength & flexibility, ensuring the rope can withstand high stress & challenging conditions.
Wire Rope Closing
During rope closing, exact alignment & tension control are necessary while giving the strands a final twist to make the wire rope. The rope’s load-bearing capacity & structural integrity are defined at this stage.
Packaging in Reels/Coils
Finally, the finished wire rope is coiled or wound onto reels and firmly packaged for safe transport and easy handling.

Right from the procurement of raw materials, we conduct rigorous inspections to identify and eliminate any potential flaws. Each batch undergoes a meticulous sample testing process, with 10% of materials from each lot tested internally and verified by an NABL-accredited lab to ensure 100% reliability. Only after passing these checks is production authorised to begin.
Our emphasis on quality extends through both pre-forming and post-forming processes, which are crucial to creating durable, high-performance wire ropes. In pre-forming, we shape wires and strands into their final helical structure, enhancing handling ease and minimising stress within the rope. Post-forming ensures each wire rope exits production smooth, firm and perfectly rounded, ready to withstand the toughest applications.
For specialised components like aluminium, bronze and copper castings, we employ advanced quality checks, including die penetration, spectrometer analysis and radiography examination, ensuring each component meets exacting standards.

Railway Product Warranty
All railway products come with a 30-month guarantee from the supply date under IRS conditions. This warranty covers defects but excludes issues from tampering, improper installation, misuse or unauthorised repairs. Replacement or repair is offered upon verified proof of defect by Shree Steel Wire Ropes Ltd.
General Wire Rope Warranty
Our general wire ropes are backed by a 12-month warranty from the supply date, with a Test Certificate (TC) and Guarantee Certificate (GC) included.
